Craig and Hayward Ltd. is a pharmaceutical wholesaler specialising in the supply of unlicensed medicines, also known as "Specials".
"Specials" are products which are specially prepared/supplied to the order of a Doctor for an individual patient.
These products include:
- Dilutions of proprietary creams and ointments
- Products containing ingredients that are not available as a licensed medicine.
- Products required without additives e.g. alcohol free, lactose free or colour free.
- Products that are not available in a licensed form e.g. product is available as a tablet but not as a liquid. A liquid preparation can be prepared as a "Special"
- Eye drop formulations where no licensed product exists e.g. preservative free eye drops.
- Imported products that are only available outside the UK.
